- Description
- This is a white linen hand towel, circa 1808, that is thought to have been created or owned by Magdelene Servos Whitemore. The towel is made of homespun flax and has a plain weave that is hemmed on three sides. It is believed to have been used domestically during the War of 1812-1814.
