The Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting, and they were adopted as read. A number of communications were read, one from Secretary Albert H. Abbott, of the British Red Cross Society, asking for assistance; one from Thomas S. Morris, Chairman of the Town Planning Commission, asking to send one or more delegates to a convention to be held in Hamilton on October 2nd and 3rd, 1916. Mr. Bradshaw, that the Reeve be authorized to honor the sum of twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) for a term of three months at 6 per cent per annum to defray running expenses. Carried.
