FOURTH MEETING TOWN HALL, YORK, May 19, 1919. The Seneca Council met on the above date. The Reeve in the chair. Members all present. The minutes of the last meeting were read by the Clerk, and adopted as read. Communications were read by the Clerk from the following: 1. The United Farmers re Good Roads. 2. The Dominion Good Roads Association re Annual Meeting. 3. The Hydro Radial Union re Convention. 4. Letters from a Number of Firms re Suitable Testimonial for Returned Soldiers. No action was taken in any with the exception of the last. The Reeve was appointed to interview firms and ascertain prices of something appropriate in order to recognize the services of the men who had served in the army and were residents of Seneca. Moved by Mr. Martindale, seconded by Mr. Bradshaw, that the following accounts be paid, and that the Reeve be and is hereby authorized to issue his orders on the Treasurer for the same: Carried. Carried. Moved by Mr. Lee, seconded by Mr. Tomlinson, that the following changes be made in the Assessment Roll, and that the Roll as then revised be the Roll for 1919. Carried. Mark Abbey, one dog, struck off. David Smart, changed from non resident to resident. Beatrice E. Todd, income assessment struck off, as she is also assessed for her income in Oneida. Elmer Allemang, struck off, as he has sold his farm. Edward Sagar, added as owner of the Elmer Allemang farm. Miss R. Becker, placed on the roll in place of Aden Becker, deceased. Moved by Mr. Lee, seconded by Mr. Tomlinson, that this Court of Revision do now adjourn, and that the Council resume business. Carried. Moved by Mr. Lee, seconded by Mr. Tomlinson, that the members of the Township Council of Seneca desire to express their deep regret at the recent death of Mrs. Fred. Stoneman, the wife of the Township Tax Collector, and that this resolution be embodied in the minutes, and that a copy thereof be forwarded to Mr. Stoneman as an evidence of our sympathy for him and his infant son in their sad bereavement.
