Description
This is a black and white photo taken on Main Street, Thessalon circa 1902. Several shops are featured in the photo such as J. Mutchmore & Co., J. H. Glanville, the Post Office, T. Buchanan, Dobie & Co., Thessalon House and the bakery.

There are many horse drawn carriages and wagons on the streets, suggesting some type of social occasion.
Toward the bottom of the photo there appears to be a school group with children of various ages walking behind several adults.
Inscriptions
A note affixed to the bottom of the photo reads: "THESSALON MAIN STREET LATE 1800'S OR EARLY 1900'S. WEST SIDE THE SHOPS ARE AS FOLLOWS: J.H GLANVILLE, POST OFFICE, DOBIE & CO., THESSALON HOUSE, BAKERY"
