    Condition: some yellowing (fairly even); otherwise in very good condition. Back of photo and written description are both available digitally (0022ph_back.jpg and 0022ph_info.jpg).

    Condition: image/matting yellowed and browned; image worn and faded with brown and white spots all over.

    Condition: matting is not thick and therefore bent and torn in places; a little worn and browned in spots but otherwise image is in good condition (writing on image is still clear).

    Condition: Right top edge clipped off; photo & matting browned with age (possible shellac browning); hole in top where tack may have gone through; bottom centre ripped.

    Condition: image is severely faded possibly due to “extra finish”; gold leafing is turning green and overall the photo is dirty in appearance

    Condition: Photo looks great with good gloss finish – some spots, but not many; matting is fairly dirty with name of studio rubbing off
