Last night, John Ralston Saul enlightened and entertained with his historical perspective on Canada's culture and its role in shaping our outlook -constitution, imperialism, and identity. Canada is a profoundly poor country -rich in natural resources, rich culturally but poor economically. However, it is this environment that has produced the support for the social good, public education and publicly accessible libraries. The method in which we separate and organize our information is a symbol of our Canadian identity.
