Helen Johns, Minister of Citizenship, Culture and Recreation will not be at the Public Library Awards luncheon as expected. The Minister's Awards will be given by Assistant Deputy Minister Lucille Rock. The government's Awards, which are normally announced during Public Library Week, came out last week. The Minister's personal award is being shared by Oxford County and Toronto Public Library. The Toronto project is also being honoured with OLA's Les Fowlie Intellectual Freedom Award at Thursday's plenary session with Mark Kingwell.
