He is even a young adult novelist, having released Hamish X and the Cheese Pirates this year. As a member of Corky and The Juice Pigs, a seminal group on the Canadian scene that has influenced comedy performers as far away as Australia and the UK, Sean burst onto the scene in 1988. GALA CLOSING LUNCHEON multiple times on shows such as The Ellen Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Late Show on CBS. Sean has done many comedy specials including Comedy Central Presents... Sean Cullen, CTV/ The Comedy Network's Gemini nominated Sean Cullen's Wood, Cheese & Children !, CBC's COMICS! and his own special, SE AN CULLEN's Home for Christmas. He has appeared on COC's Air rarce, TMN's Slings & Over the next ten years, The Pigs toured the world becoming fixtures of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, winning awards at the Edinburgh Fringe and performing at the Just for Laughs in Montreal eight times. The group was also featured on Fox's MAD TV and released two wide-selling comedy albums. In 1998, after eleven years in the group, Sean struck out on his own. He has developed a unique brand in the comedy world that is his and his alone, combining stream of consciousness improv with uncanny mimicry and broad musical talents. Sean has been featured in Time Magazine in the USA as the vanguard of comedy's next generation. He has appeared Arrows, CBC's The Sean Cullen Show and he is the voice of Canuckles on CBC's Maple Shorts. Sean starred as Max Bialystock in a successful run in the Canadian production of Mel Brooks' The Producers and toured parts of Canada and the U.S. with the Barenaked Ladies. He has also appeared in the critically acclaimed features Atom Egoyan's Where the T ruth Lies, Phil The Alien and Saint Ralph. Sean can also be seen in the children's series Monster Warriors on YTV. He has released a CD entitled Sean Cullen Live!.
