Description
Welcome to Ontario Library Association (OLA) Super Conference 2020! For over 25 years, this conference has delivered innovative and inspirational experiences for those who work, or are interested in libraries, across our province.

Our conference has grown over the years. OLA Super Conference is the largest library conference in Canada, attracting close to 5,000 participants. Delegates visit from across our province and country- even internationally.

Our conference will offer delegates diverse opportunities to learn, engage, innovative, discover, wonder and reflect. I hope you are inspired by everything offered to you during the next few days.

Our theme, "Dream Here," is an open invitation for all to become excited by the collective dreams created by our wonderful library community. Libraries are places where dreams-large and small-are nutured. Libraries are dream factories, fuelled by creativity and powered by knowledge. Our conference will examine, illustrate, and encourage our delegates to explore ideas, learn from others, and take action shaping library communities today, tomorrow, and into the future.

The OLA Super Conference is the work and collective dream of an amazing group of people. I want to take this opportunity to give a big THANK YOU to out Super Conference Dream Team. These volunteers, staff members, session presenters, and convenors brainstorm, plan, execute, and operationalize our conference. A big shout out must also go to out conference co-chairs, Zach Osborne and Elizabeth Obermeyer-Kostash. The commitment and contributions of this amazing group of people make this conference one you will dream about!

I would like to acknowledge that this land on which we gather, known as Tkaronto (Tak-ka-ron-toe), was and remains a gathering place for Indigenous Nations and peoples from across Turtle Island since time immemorial. We are grateful to have the opportunity to gather here together this week to share and connect with one another.

On behalf of the entire OLA community, I sincerely hope this conference allows you to dream big, dream powerfully and dream with curiosity. Together, let's "Dream Here" and continue making Ontario libraries thrive.
