And all of the research on the impact of school libraries on student achievement con- cludes that school libraries do, in fact, have a positive impact on student achieve- ment and learning. We know this. The research proves it. It's our job to make sure this research comes to the atten- tion of educators, administra- tors, politicians, civil servants, parents, and stu- dents. We must make it clear that our advocacy is focused on the needs of our students and this research is helping us do that. Our students need and deserve good school libraries and they need and deserve to have us work to make those school libraries a reality. z
