A Summary of the National Union Catalogue OLA participated in a National Union Catalogue roundtable on March 2 to discuss the replacement of AMICUS with the OCLC and to identify any issues or concerns of Canadian libraries prior to contract sign off. The key questions/concerns from the roundtable were: Cost to libraries, data privacy, open data, Canadian resource visibility, support for standards, mobile support, linked open data, application programming interface, and updating the National Union Catalogue. Dan Scott, OLA Board member and president, OLITA has posted a more detailed account of these considerations on his blog.
