Snowed In: Family Literacy Event Planning Toolkit features a step-by-step toolkit that helps school library staff work with parents to launch a family literacy event. This event is an opportunity to expose parents to new literacy and information technology programs available in the 21st century school library, to inform them of online resources, and to promote the vital digital learning skills you can provided to the school community through school libraries. Templates for blog posts, newsletter articles, emails, and social media messages are provided, as well as instructions on how to recruit parent volunteers, organize tasks and manage an event.
