This initiative of the Ontario Library Association (OLA) offers eight reading programs to encourage a love of reading in people of all ages. The Forest helps celebrate Canadian books, publishers, authors and illustrators. More than 250,000 readers participate annually from their School and/or Public Library. All Ontarians/Canadians are invited to participate via their local public library, school library, or individually. ONE low fee and you are registered for ALL 8 of the programs. $35 Elementary Schools ($50 for non-members)
 $25 Secondary Schools ($40 for non-members)
 $15 for Public Libraries, Literacy Centres, Homeschoolers and families ($30 for non-members) NOW OPEN! ONE password for NEW Password Protected Site (seen to the right) with over 500 resources for the nominated titles. WHAT'S HAPPENING Library and Archives Canada (LAC) Jane Hilton, president, and Shelagh Paterson, executive director, OLA, recently attended the LAC-BAC stakeholders forum alongside other archival, museum, and library organizations. This group meets once in person annually and via teleconferences to review and provide input on initiatives and strategies underway at Library and Archives Canada. Initiatives reviewed include the upcoming LAC Business Plan, Draft National Heritage Digitization Strategy, and LAC's International Engagement Strategy.
