We continue to set up your new association of library associations, providing a united voice for Canadian libraries. Canadian Urban Library Council (CULC) to take over administration of Library Materials Shipping Tool For many years the Canadian Library Association (CLA) has administered the Library Shipping Tool for libraries across Canada. This tool provided libraries across Canada access to affordable shipping rates. As a result of CLA's pending dissolution, it will no longer be administering this tool however we are delighted to share with you that the new administrator of this tool will be the Canadian Urban Libraries Council (CULC). CLA has been working with CULC to ensure that existing customer needs are met. More information will be provided through CULC on this transition. In the interim, CULC invites you to update your contact information by clicking the survey link Please take a few moments to complete this in order to assist with the transition and ensure that CULC has accurate information for your institution. Ontario's 150 Anniversary Funding Programs The province launched three new one-time, project-based programs to engage Ontarians and commemorate the 150th anniversary of Ontario throughout 2017: The Ontario 150 Community Capital Program -- a $25 million fund to renovate, repair and retrofit existing community and cultural infrastructure to increase access, improve safety and maximize community use (application period opens July 18 and closes September 14, 2016); The Ontario 150 Partnership Program -- a $5 million program to support new partnerships and collaborations that engage, enable and empower youth as the next generation of Ontario leaders (application period opened July 6 and closes September 30, 2016); And the Ontario 150 Community Celebration Program --a $7 million fund to help communities celebrate this historic year (application period opened July 6 and closes September 2, 2016).
