The CLA Book Awards were a valued and respected program of importance to many. CFLA-FCAB is aware of this and is working to find a new home for the awards if possible, which include: Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator's Award - est. 1971. CLA Book of the Year for Children Award - est. 1947 CLA Young Adult Book Award - est. 1980 Because of the dissolution of CLA, the collection of award winning titles is available for adoption. Maintaining this historic collection as a cohesive collection in Canada is a great step towards keeping the CLA Book Awards alive. https://www.accessola.org/web/OLA/Event_Display.aspx?EventKey=EIW160824&WebsiteKey=74e8da94-41c7-4ad1-9741-aa129f6a2c2c http://bit.ly/EISummer2016 http://bit.ly/1Rp5vzv https://www.thepartnership.ca/WEB/PARTNERSHIP/Education_Institute/Event_Detail.aspx?EventKey=EIW160823&WebsiteKey=49eb833d-4b23-4429-949e-216666246bc4 https://www.thepartnership.ca/WEB/PARTNERSHIP/Education_Institute/Event_Detail.aspx?EventKey=EIW160825&WebsiteKey=49eb833d-4b23-4429-949e-216666246bc4 https://www.thepartnership.ca/WEB/PARTNERSHIP/Education_Institute/Event_Detail.aspx?EventKey=EIW160830&WebsiteKey=49eb833d-4b23-4429-949e-216666246bc4
