LEARN MORE >> Archives Association of Ontario Workshops The Archives Association of Ontario welcomes you to their range of workshops. These events are intended for information professionals of all kinds to expand their archival and digital knowledge. The first upcoming workshop is Introduction to Archival Processing at the City of Ottawa Archives, November 10 from 9 am to 4 pm. This workshop will introduce participants to the methods and practices archivists use to arrange, describe, preserve and create finding aids for collections of varying sizes. This will include basic conservation practices, handling problem material, guidelines for appraisal and weeding, and restrictions. Participants will have the opportunity to work in groups for hands-on processing. The contributions to the discussion informed the IFLA Global Vision Report Summary which identified ten opportunities to address common challenges. Now IFLA needs your ideas to turn these opportunities into an achievable reality. With the Global Vision Ideas Store, IFLA is offering every librarian and library supporter a chance to contribute to a collective vision for the future of libraries, to the new bottom-up IFLA strategy, to our own strategy.
