READ MORE >> OLA MentorMatch: New Session Begins In January The OLA MentorMatch program strives to link working library staff with students, new graduates and other library staff interested in a career in libraries and related fields. Mentoring involves one person providing support and guidance to another, helping them manage their own learning and development. Mentoring is a relationship rather than a management activity, providing a safe and non-judgmental environment in which to learn. The mentoring relationship has rewards for both partners. Find out more about MentorMatch here. We are now accepting applications for the six-month MentorMatch session commencing in January 2019. We are seeking experienced members interested in being mentors as well as applications from those who would like to be mentored (Mentees). The deadline for applications is November 21. A core research group will be doing some detailed planning and research design, data collection and analysis, and preparing documentation for wider dissemination. That's where you come in! Advisory Group: Throughout the process, an advisory group consisting of 8-10 practitioners will provide periodic feedback on the activities of the core research group to ensure the project is moving forward efficiently.
