2/24/2020 For Your Benefit https://ola.informz.ca/informzdataservice/onlineversion/pub/bWFpbGluZ0luc3RhbmNlSWQ9MTExMjM4OQ== 3/6 Treaties Recognition Week is just around the corner! During the first week of November, everyone is encouraged to learn more about the treaties in Ontario, and what we as individuals can do to respect and strengthen the treaty relationship with Indigenous peoples. There are libraries participating across the province - and you can too. Ontario.ca/treaties has lots of ideas to help you mark the week, as well as resources like the interactive Map of Ontario treaties and reserves. Share what you're doing online using the hashtag #TreatyON, to help spread the word about the importance of treaties. LEARN MORE >> Treaties Recognition Week Materials Available If you're interested in copies of the Walk a Mile documentary, and the Canada's History Treaty Relationship issue, the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs has limited copies of the DVD and copies of the treaty relationship guide available for libraries. If you're interested, please fill out this form with your library's name and address. Please note: as there are limited copies available, it will be first come, first serve.
