Infrastructure Funding for Public Libraries The Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) is a cost-shared infrastructure funding program between the federal government, provinces and territories, and municipalities and other recipients. This program will see up to $30 billion in combined federal, provincial and other partner funding, under four priority areas, including Community, Culture and Recreation. The Community, Culture and Recreation stream will support community infrastructure priorities across the province, improving access to and/or quality of community, cultural, and recreation priority infrastructure projects. The volume will be published on behalf of IFLA's Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Special Interest Group (ENSULIB) with IFLA's Library Buildings and Equipment Section at de Gruyter/Saur Publisher, Berlin/Boston, in print and digital online format (open access is planned). The relevant topics we are considering for the publication are: • Guidelines/requirements for reanimating an old, derelict or abandoned building into a new library • Opportunities for urban revitalization through re-use of an old building into a new library • The re-use of an old building as a question of and for sustainability • Sensitive reuse of historically listed buildings with a library usage • Other exciting topics related to the book's theme are welcome.
