The OSLA Member Outreach Committee reports to the OSLA Council to support the inclusion and unification of all OSLA members in school libraries across Ontario. The committee works to promote and highlight existing OLA programs and initiatives, organize networking and communication opportunities and to build collaborative relationships and partnerships amongst all OSLA members. The OSLA Member Outreach Committee is launching our first book club. We have selected the 2019 Red Maple Nominee #NotYourPrincess: Voices of Native American Women edited By Lisa Charleyboy and Mary Beth Leatherdale. We will be posting questions our Twitter account @oslacouncil throughout from mid- October to mid-January. It is our hope that members will share their own thoughts and feelings about the text, as well as ways they have used this book with the students and staff they serve. We will also have an opportunity for a face-to-face book club chat at our OSLA member meet up during Super Conference. JOIN THE BOOK CLUB >> OSLA Member Outreach Meetup The OSLA Member Outreach Committee will host a casual meetup and networking opportunity as part of the "unconference" section of Super Conference 2020. This will be a chance to connect with fellow OSLA members, meet available members of the OSLA council, provide informal feedback and ideas for the future of the Outreach Committee work and to join in a face-to-face book club chat about our fall selection, #NotYourPrincess: Voices of Native American Women edited By Lisa Charleyboy and Mary Beth Leatherdale. Watch for more details and exact date and time information.
