Public libraries across the province hosted events, met with their local leaders and helped raise awareness of the importance of libraries in your communities. This year, OPLW digital materials were accessed 1,493 times, 130 libraries ordered 900 bilingual posters and 575 packs of bookmarks. This year, we asked participants to visit their local library and tell us why you love your public library using #ILoveONLibraries during Ontario Public Library Week. OLA received 53 contest entries during OPLW. Congrats to the contest winner, Karen S. from Georgetown, who said: "Our family of seven checks out 50+ books every two weeks. We love that the librarians enjoy our family, help our kids find books, and welcome us as we pillage the kid's section. The Georgetown library is one of our favorite places in town!"
