"I can‘t support my own elimination," said Liersch from the company‘s Oakville headâ€" quarters Thursday. Liersch _ admitted _ his employees have been told not to wear an orange ribbon and said a uniform policy and union tem but said that isn‘t guaranâ€" teed under a provinceâ€"wide ambulance service. There are 177 different ambulance service operations in Ontario with some 4,000 full and partâ€"time officers. In Haltonâ€"Mississauga, there are 120 full and partâ€"time officers. Two 24â€"hour ambuâ€" lances service Oakville from a contracts stipulate no buttons, ribbons or other additions are to be worn on uniforms. Liersch said both the wearâ€" ing of the ribbon and the report itself support the elimination of private enterprise.
