At Christmas, she could be seen at the Legion‘s Gift Wrapping Booth at Oakville Place, which raised funds for Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Canine Vision Canada and the Salvation Army. Kerr, a 36â€"year resident of Oakville, was hired by Ford for its Public Relations department in about 1960. Promoting _ Environmental Controls and Vehicle Safety was one aspect of her job; another was Plant Tour Coâ€"ordinator.
