Since then she has completâ€" ed her Master of Music at Mannes College of Music in New York and has performed with orchestras throughâ€" out Europe, the United States and Canada. After completing high school, she studied music at the University of Toronto and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Buckland is presently in the process of auditioning for a professional orchestra. She was delighted when she learned she was accepted by the Boris Brott Summer Music Festival as she says it provides a great opportunity to get some valuable orchestral training, which she hopes will help her in her search. Buckland started playing the violin when she was four years old and decided eleven years later that she wanted to be a violinist. But Buckland is used to hard work as success in the music business does not come easily. "It‘s very, very competitive," said Buckland. "It‘s like anything, if you really want to achieve it‘s hard work, it‘s important to have persistence because there are a lot of ups and downs."
