® he Blue Jays may be on Tstrike with other‘ major league players but Duane Ward was making a pitch for chilâ€" dren at the Duane Ward Celebrity Golf Tournament at the North Halton Golf and Country Club last week. Striking ballplayers help raise $18,500 for Children‘s and Youth Foundation of Halton Armed with golf clubs instead of baseball bats, Ward and more than a dozen teammates (including managâ€" er Cito Gaston) joined other celebriâ€" ties â€" including some NHL players â€" about 92 enthusiastic golfers and about 20 hard working volunteers, to raise more than $18,500 for the Children‘s and Youth Foundation of Halton.
