FALL GABARDINE 150cm wide % OFF THE OAKVILLE BEAVER VoLuntEEr Goes Home To Japan When news of the earlier than planned departure of Kay Sekine, second from left, traveled among the organizations she was involved with, about 35 people showed up on the front steps of Bronte Fine Arts to wish her a fond farewell. Most arrived with less than four hours‘ notice. The gathering of friends included representatives of the Oakville Sister Cities Committee, Bronte Historical Society, Japanese student exchange program, Mayor Ann Mulvale and other town officials, Sheridan College where she taught Japanese classes, and her archaeology group. Kay and her husband Tom, a professor of economics at York University, came to Oakville in 1972. The move back to Japan on Sept. 4th comes as a result of both her Canadianâ€"born son and daughter â€" who is starting this year â€" studying at the International Christian University, her old alma mater, The farewell evening, which caught Kay by surprise, was organized by Colleen Murray of the Bronte Historical Society, right. 681â€"8006 exi. 102 (Photo by Riziero Vertolli) parncaracron BP \/ â€"enry 0°L September 14, 199
