Along with her teaching career, Crawford sang with the Gerald Fagan Singers and pursued some vocal coaching with Amabile Children‘s Choir, both ensembles based in London. With her move to Oakville, Crawford was busier settling her family into a new community than entrenching herself in the music scene, although she did sing with the University of Toronto‘s Symphonic Choir. Crawford is overwhelmed, not to mention pleased and encouraged by the turnout of young voices. Considering her background does not have its roots in Oakville, Crawford, who holds her Masters in Music Education, is pleased that there are parents "willing to take a chance." "I have a strong vision of what it can be," says Crawford who has no doubt the choir will succeed. Although rehearsals are underâ€" way, Crawford is still looking for senior choir members.
