It revealed the following beaches have acceptable levels of bacteria and are safe for swimming: Bronte Park Beach, Coronation Park East and Coronation Park West. Elsewhere in Halton, other beaches have also tested safe for swimming. In Burlington, The Beachway (North and South) are okay for water sports. Also safe are Milton's Kelso Conservation Area and Halton Hills' Prospect Park Old Beach. The Health Department tests recreational water throughout Halton. Beaches are selected based on use for swimming and other water sports. The tests are done weekly or if conditions change. Halton residents can call Halton Region to find out which beaches have been closed due to poor water quality.
