That I will not see his wonderful smile that would light up a room, hear that infectious laugh of his, feel those strong arms around me in a tight hug, feel his soft gentle lips on mine, or smell his wonderful cologne again. It is so hard to get up to an empty house each morning, not seeing him standing in the kitchen preparing breakfast and hear him say "good morning, hon". Now I come home at the end of the day to an empty house, with no music playing loudly from the stereo in the kithen, nor the smell of dinner already started. Shammi loved music, it was his passion. I so miss him spinning his records most nights for hours on end. He was the family DJ; and he was the best. Oh God, what a year it became. Pain and sorrow beyong belief. What a tragedy this is. He was such a loving, caring, compassionate and giving man. Family was his first priority ­ supporting me, his mother, sibblings, nieces, nephews and in-laws ­ whatever it took.
