"We are a group of concerned Oakville residents who have come together to stop the proposed tree bylaw," states a release issued earlier this week announcing the group's formation. NTBiN is headed by Oakville residents Ivor Davies, Doug Hauser and Glen Herring. The proposed bylaw is out for public consultation this summer -- unusual, but necessary if it's to be dealt with before the municipal election later this fall. The draft bylaw is on the Town's Web site at www.oakville.ca. An amateur entomologist and nature enthusiast ­ he was sporting a Monarch hat and Tshirt ­ Davis is a full-time case aide for the Children's Aid Society of Toronto and a volunteer tagger for Monarch Watch, a program based out of the University of Kansas.
