The updated design features a cheery Santa Claus, whose hat bears an oak leaf instead of holly to represent the Town of Oakville in a fun way. "Our new logo integrates all facets of the Parade's identity, from a friendly Santa to an emblem representative of our Town," said Pam Damoff, Chair of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade Committee. "We are pleased to be sharing our new graphic identity with the community." The design is the work of Nancy Zammit, a former Oakville resident who now lives in Toronto and works as a graphic design artist at Ryerson University. Now in its 58th year, the Oakville Santa Claus Parade is a cherished tradition in our Town. The 2006 Parade takes place Saturday, Nov. 18, beginning at 9 a.m. and will follow a new route. This year's Parade will begin at Lakeshore Road and Reynolds, go west on Lakeshore to Kerr Street, north on Kerr and end at Kerr and Stewart Streets.
