The OTMH Classic offers participants a choice of a 5km Run, a 5km Power Walk and a 3km Family Walk, and is an opportunity for families to celebrate Father's Day while making a difference in the community. New this year is the Ronald McDonald SportZone. Kids can beat the basketball shot clock, test their skills at the soccer obstacle, show off their moves on the dance pad and cool off under the misting McDonald's arch. "The Foundation is fortunate to have the longstanding support of OakLand Ford Lincoln, and to have begun such a wonderful partnership with the McDonald's franchises of Oakville," said Steve Diamond, co-chair of the OTMH Classic Committee. The course for the OTMH Classic weaves its way through downtown Oakville. Runners and walkers alike are invited to bring their families. In addition to the Ronald McDonald SportZone, activities during and after the event include face painting, clowns, massages and much more. After the race, a Father's Day breakfast will be served, sponsored by Catered Fare, Longo's, Maple Leaf Foods and Tasty Chip. For $5 each, attendees can enjoy a BLT on a bun and fresh fruit salad with their family. The OTMH Classic is held at Wallace Park between Reynolds and Allan Streets, just south of the hospital. The Fun Run starts at 8:45 a.m., the run starts at 9 a.m., the power walk starts at 9:10 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:15 a.m. Free parking is available both on site and in the staff parking lot at OTMH off Reynolds Street.
