With the goal of making provincials, the 11-year-old Dolphins Swim Club member doubled his practice schedule from two times a week to four. Schubert won the 50meter freestyle and added a silver in the 100m and a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly. In addition, he qualified for provincials in the 50m freestyle and the 100m butterfly. Schubert's medals were three of the 60, including 27 golds, won by the club. Cole Van Ommen won five individual golds -- 100m and 200m freestyle, 50m backstroke, 100m breaststroke and 100m butterfly -- and a relay gold as well. He also won a silver in the 50m butterfly. Sinead Russell won seven golds -- five individual and two relay. Russell earned victories in the 50m and 400m freestyle, 100m and 200m breaststroke and the 200m butterfly. Olivia Sbaraglia won the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle as well as the 50m backstroke and claimed a silver in the 200m individual medley and a relay bronze. Conor Russell, also 10, won four golds, finishing first in the 100m and 200m freestyle, 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly. He also won a gold and bronze in the relays. Lauren Dixon earned five medals, inclusing a pair of gold medals in the 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle. She also won silver in the 100m breaststroke and 200m freestyle and a bronze in the 50m freestyle. All-stars from the Central Ontario Baseball Association's Major League will showcase their skills tomorrow afternoon at Oakville Park. The Oakville A's will be represented in the game, which begins at 1:30 p.m., by pitcher Matt Chisamore, shortstop Matt Higginson and first baseman Kevin Lee. Representatives from the Burlington Brants, St. Catharines Metros, Mississauga North Tigers, Glanbrook/Stoney Creek Grizzlies, Dundas Chiefs, Etobicoke Rangers, Erindale Cardinals, Milton Red Sox and Brampton Battle Cats will also participate. In conjunction with the all-star game, members of the Oakville Senior A's will be holding a minor baseball clinic tomorrow, beginning at 10 a.m. There will be a number of instructional and work-out sta- tions, focusing on batting, pitching, catching, infield and outfield. Many of the A's players are fully-accredited coaches and are currently assisting or coaching some of the Oakville Minor Baseball Association's rep teams. The A's have had an up-and-down season in league play so far this year, and enter the break with a mark of 7-10-1. In recent action, Oakville blanked Dundas 3-0, fell 12-2 to St. Catharines and dropped a 6-2 decision to Erindale. Chisamore tossed eight shutout innings in the win over Dundas, with Ryan Bicci picking up the save. Matt Bekar had two hits and scored two runs, while Lee contributed two doubles and an RBI. Julian Richards took the loss against St. Catharines as the A's kept things close for four innings before unravelling. Bobby Chappelle and Lee had run-scoring hits versus Erindale.
