www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver Weekend, Saturday January 12, 2008 - 5 Gun used in robbery of convenience store Halton Regional Police are investigating a robbery at George's Convenience store that saw three men threaten the employee with a silver handgun. Police allege one man was armed with a handgun, and pointed it at the employee, who was working alone at the 478 Dundas St. W. store on Thursday, Jan. 10. He was not physically harmed during the robbery. Police say the other two men jumped the counter and emptied the till of an undisclosed amount of money. The three men also stole watches, cigarettes and cigars from the store. A witness at the scene saw the three men get into a black Sport Utility Vehicle, according to police, described as a GMC Envoy or Cadillac Escalade. Police searched the area for the suspects without success. The gunman was described as white, 20 years old, wearing a long brown coat to his knees, a hood, a dark ski mask, light coloured baggy blue jeans and dark coloured running shoes. The second man was described as white, 20 years old, wearing a long leather overcoat to the knees, a hood, dark ski mask, dark jersey under his coat with the number 10 in white on the front. He also wore a blue collar shirt under the jersey, dark pants with dark leather gloves and dark boots. The third suspect was white, 20 years old, wearing a long dark coloured overcoat to his thighs, a hood, dark ski mask, army pattern hoodie under his coat, dark jeans and black shoes. He was carrying a blue plastic bag. The Halton Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate this incident.
