Supercade gaming event Thursday The Great Canadian Supercade! will take place Thursday, March 13 at Town Hall. It's a family gaming event to showcase the latest Super-Hero themed Christian books, games and activities alongside the latest state of the art video game technology. Large flat screen monitors, rumble motion game chairs and a live game show are just part of the action planned for the March Break event. Featured products include We Got Game, a mobile video game centre, Power Blast Kidz, a children's book series, and Super Card Clash, a super herothemed trading card game. Both Power Blast Kidz and Super Cards include Christian values, scriptures and lessons. At the Supercade, children and families will have an opportunity to experience both "low tech" super fun and "high tech" video game thrills all under one roof. Writing your life seminar March 15 Writing your life and other true stories takes place Saturday, March 15. The workshop will be held at Oakville Central Library, 120 Navy St., from 10 a.m. ­ 4 p.m. It's led by Brian Henry, creative writing teacher at Ryerson University, and a book editor with 25 years' experience. Henry has published non fiction works in various newspapers and magazines.
