Top scorer: Jordan Schindel (30 goals, 65 points, 58 games) Top Dman: Tanner Vandesype (18 goals, 46 points, 57 games) Goaltender: Taylor Nelson (31-7-1, 1.74 average, .930 save percentage) Top playoff scorer: Schindel (14 goals, 27 points, 19 games). WEEKS CRUSHERS Maritime Junior A Hockey League Ranking: 4 Record: 35-21-2, 9-7 playoffs Goals For: 246 Goals Against: 180 Qualified: Defeated Pembroke 4-1 to win the Fred Page Cup. RBC History: Ist appearance. Top scorer: Jordan Knox (36 goals, 86 points, 48 games) Top Dman: Scott Lavigne (8 goals, 43 points, 52 games) Goaltender: Alexander Quessy (8-3-1, 2.67 average, .912 save percentage) Top playoff scorer: Jason Rinzler (10 goals, 16 points, 11 games). Other key players: Ryan Stoddard, Geoff Hum, Danny Morgan, Andrew Paquet, Tyson Cameron. Notes: The Pictou County Crushers were bought and transferred from Halifax to New Glasgow, N.S. in 2004...It also goes by the name of the Weeks Crushers because of its sponsor, Weeks Construction .....The Crushers were the hosts of the Fred Page Cup tournament. They beat the league champion, Yarmouth -- the same team that knocked them out of the playoffs -- twice in the tournament, including a 4-2 win in the semifinals. CORNWALL COLTS Central Junior A Hockey League Ranking: 5 Record: 31-24-5, 1-4 playoffs Goals For: 211 Goals Against: 207 Qualified: Royal Bank Cup host. RBC History: 2nd appearance. Top scorer: Darcy Findlay (44 goals, 82 points, 60 games) Top Dman: Michael Blunden (5 goals, 27 points, 59 games) Goaltender: Justin Roethingshoefer (16-71, 3.05 average, .897 save percentage) Top playoff scorer: Findlay (3 goals, 8 points, 5 games). Other key players: Mark Williams, Sy Nutkevitch, Jean-Philippe Beaulieu, Damian Cross, Landon Lavictoire. Notes: Cornwall has been idle since March 18 when they were eliminated in the first round of the playoff by Smiths Falls.... Findlay will attend Bemidji State next year while Williams, a defenceman, earned a scholarship at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado.....The Colts have players from six different provinces and states.....Cornwall won the CJHL championship in 1996, 2000 and 2001.....In its only other RBC appearance in 2000, Cornwall lost all four of its games....Since the national championships switched from the Centennial Cup to the Royal Bank Cup 12 years ago, four host teams have won the title.
