Art in Heaven at local library A solo show of original art paintings called Art in Heaven will be on display at Woodside Library, 1274 Rebecca St. from June 23 to Sept. 22. The show features the work of painter Arthur Gooch, who has made a career as a technical illustrator. The acrylic paintings show places Gooch has visited, with pieces in the exhibition on loan from private collections in Australia, England and Canada. This is Gooch's first solo exhibition. New exhibition at Oakville Galleries Oakville Galleries is presenting Mnemonic Devices, an exhibition assembled from its permanent collection, until August 31 at Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens. Mnemonic Devices brings together the work of ten contemporary artists who are grappling with the imperfect shape of remembrance. Curated by Matthew Hyland, this exhibition features artists Stephen Andrews, Bill Barrette, John Brown, Janet Cardiff, Stan Denniston, Attila Richard Lukacs, Duncan MacDonald, Regan Morris, Paulette Phillips and Colette Whiten.
