Police continue to investigate the robbery of the CIBC branch at 1011 Upper Middle Rd. earlier this month. On Aug. 9, shortly after noon, a lone man entered the bank and approached a teller. The suspect made some inquiries then passed her a note demanding money. The suspect was given cash and fled on foot. Investigators now believe that the suspect is responsible for five bank robberies in the months of July and August in the GTA including Oakville, Brampton, Cambridge and Toronto. Police emphasize the hat worn by the man is unique. It is red with gold lettering and identified as a Michael Schumacher Formula One Championship collector's hat.
