The dancers, ranging in age from 11 to 20, recently qualified at the Eastern Canadian Regionals to represent the Oakville based Goggin-Carroll School of Irish Dance. In addition to the 29 solo dancers, Goggin-Carroll will also be sending two traditional Irish celli teams to compete against nearly 100 groups. To both celebrate and raise funds for the dancers' travel expenses, the Oakville Irish Dance Association and Goggin-Carroll are jointly hosting The Claddagh Ball, a dinner, dance and silent auction, on Saturday, March 7 at the Burlington Convention Centre. The organizers of the evening are seeking donations and/or sponsorship from the dancers' communities. Tickets are also available. If you would like to attend, or help, contact oakvilleirishdanceassociation@yahoo.com For information about shows or the school, e-mail barb@goggin-carroll.com or visit www.goggincarroll.com.
