OAKVILLE BEAVER Friday, April 3, 2009 · 28 You're Invited! HOME AND GARDEN Keeping your trees beautiful for years to come To maintain good tree health, regular feeding and assessment for disease or insects can go a long way in preserving healthy beautiful tress for years to come. Colonial Tree Service provides a number of maintenance services for your tree, shrubs and hedges including: INSPECTION Assessing trees for disease, insect infestation such as the Asian Longhorn Beetle and Emerald Ash Borer, and other symptoms of ill health. Inspection is key to catching and treating the tree to avoid removal. ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE SPRAYING Using soap based spray or an all-natural basil oil spray to help treat a variety of problems and insect infestations without pesticides. In cases where certain pesticides are needed you should insure that they are applied by a licensed contractor including some of the Emerald Ask Borer (EAB) decease. VERTICAL MULCHING A series of holes are dug around the root system- similar to aerating a lawn- and then the holes are filled with mulch to provide a slowly released source of ongoing tree nutrition. DEEP ROOT INJECTIONS Using a high-pressure metal "needle," fertilizer is injected deep into the ground around the tree's roots for immediate nutrition. Colonial Tree Service can provide all of these options to you as well as expert advice and consultation to help you make the right decision for your trees, shrubs and hedges. Our services are available to both residential and commercial customers and we offer service throughout the four seasons ensuring healthy and well-maintained trees all year round.
