OAKVILLE BEAVER Friday, June 12, 2009 · 16 Donation puts concert at library Oakville Public Library is excited to announce that TD Canada Trust is the exclusive sponsor of our Every Child Ready to Read First Concert, taking place during Public Library Week 2009. TD's generous donation of $3,500 will allow us to offer this preschool concert, featuring Canadian performer Chris McKhool and his band, for free so that all families can enjoy the experience. Our Every Child Ready to Read First Concert will be held on Monday, October 19th at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. The free concert, led by award winning children's performer Chris McKhool, will introduce the theme of The Environment ­ EARTH, Sea & Air. Fully interactive, Chris and his band will reinforce the importance of developing early literacy skills with our children through singing, dancing and talking and having fun. Tickets are free and will be available at your local Oakville Public Library Branch in September. Having long been a proud supporter of the Oakville Public Library, TD Canada Trust has sponsored many Public Library Week events over the years and is also the main sponsor year after year for our TD Summer Reading Program. TD Summer Reading Club promotes the enjoyment of reading to young people and encourages them to visit their library during the summer by promoting cool themes and offering great incentive prizes.
