At approximately 3 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, a red 2000 Jaguar S-Type was being driven southbound along Elton Park Road toward Lakeshore Road East, when the driver failed to negotiate a bend in the road. The car's right wheels left the roadway and struck an ornamental rock in a private garden. The vehicle then travelled to the opposite side of the road before leaving the roadway completely and entering a second private garden. The vehicle struck the first of two trees before flipping over and going back on the road -- this time on its roof -- before coming to a stop. The driver and two male passengers got out of the car with only minor injuries, although the vehicle was extensively damaged. Debris was strewn across a large area with damage being caused to a number of trees and shrubs. Elton Park Road and Lakeshore Road East were closed for five hours during the investigation and cleanup.
