Saloon is a British English term for sedan. According to Tony Fox, the club's events co-ordinator, the club has a rich diversity of vehicles, including Wolseley, Riley, Hillman, Rover and Morris models. This year celebrates the club's 15th year as an association for British cars, trucks and motorcycles. Inaugurated in November 1994 in Toronto, the British Saloon Car Club of Canada has roughly 500 members who own British cars of all makes and models. PUBLIC NOTIFICATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT NEW 230kV / 27.6kV TRANSFORMER STATION REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF HALTON, ONTARIO The Study Oakville Hydro Electricity Distribution Inc. (Oakville Hydro) is a local electricity distribution company in Ontario and is responsible for electrical power delivery to homes and businesses in the Town of Oakville. Oakville Hydro is proposing to build a new transformer station adjacent to the existing Hydro One transmission corridor. The station would increase the supply of electricity to the Oakville Hydro service territory. The proposed station will step-down electricity from Hydro One's 230kV high voltage transmission system to lower voltages, so that it can be distributed through Oakville Hydro's electrical system to consumers. The new station is required by spring 2011 to maintain reliable supply and anticipated growth to the Oakville Hydro service area. The project study area encompasses the Town of Oakville and Town of Milton, north of the 407 where existing 230kV transmission corridors are present for potential connection (see map). Oakville Hydro will introduce the site selection process to identify candidate sites for the proposed new station within the study area. The project is being undertaken in accordance with the Class Environmental Assessment for Minor Transmission Facilities (Class EA) process approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. Broken leg blues benefit Saturday Barb's Broken Leg Blues Benefit will be held Saturday, Aug. 22 at The Less Than Level Lounge. The lounge is located at 381 Kerr St. and the fundraiser will feature musicians including The Trades, Dale Roossien, The Barettas, Pistol Dawn, Mike Branton and Justin Bacon. Tickets cost $15 and proceeds will go to Barb Bourgeois, who broke her leg in April and as a result found herself unemployed.
