Or decoding fun puzzles that led the team to the next location in the scavenger car rally. It wasn't even about the fine dinner that wrapped up the event. For Ferris Rafauli, it was about supporting a good cause. The president and founder of Grandeur Luxury Homes, which has its head office in Oakville, was a participant in this past weekend's Rally for Kids with Cancer in Toronto. He not only took part in the event, which supported the Hospital for Sick Children, but also placed third out of 30 teams for dollars raised, with a grand total of just under $87,000. The event raised a total of more than $1 million. "My philosophy is that people who have the ability to give back should do that," said Rafauli, 32, who calls Burlington home. "A community is only as strong as the people who strengthen it. It is up to all of us to do what we can. I'm so happy we raised so much money for kids."
