Parade is a fun-filled day for the whole family Don't miss out on all the fun this Saturday when Oakville welcomes Santa Claus at the 61st Annual Santa Claus Parade. This year's theme is "A Rock 'N Roll Christmas". Starting at 9 am, the Parade will begin at Lakeshore Road and Reynolds, go west on Lakeshore to Kerr Street, north on Kerr and end at Kerr and Stewart Streets. Once again, Santa Claus returns with his sweetheart from the North Pole. Best known for keeping him on his toes throughout the year, Mrs. Claus herself is the Parade's Grand Marshall. Joining Mrs. Claus in the beautifully decorated Cinderella carriage is 9-year old colouring contest winner Calvin van Voorst. His drawing was selected out of over 100 entries that were submitted. Jarryd Farrell, age 5, Victoria Lawrynowycz, age 9 and Samantha Hunter, age 10, were runner-ups in the colouring contest. They will ride in the windows of Santa's float, along with the winners of the Kerr Village Scavenger Hunt Marisa Fish, age 7 and Shantelle Ladly-Rebetez, age 8.
