OAK swimmers find medals Down Under Oakville Aquatic Club swimmers Mack Darragh, Julie Calvert and Tera Van Beilen combined to win 10 medals for Canada at a recent meet in Australia. Darragh earned medals in five of the six events he competed in, including a gold in the 16-year-old men's 400-metre individual medley. He added silvers in the 100m breaststroke, 200m breaststroke and 200m backstroke, and collected bronze in the 100m backstroke. Van Beilen won three silvers in 16year-old women's competition, finishing second in the 100m breaststroke, 200m IM and 400m IM. She was also fourth in the 400m freestyle. Calvert won a silver in the 16-yearold women's 200m breaststroke and a bronze in the 400m IM. The local trio was part of a 20member Canadian team, comprised of 12 juniors and eight youth-aged swimmers. Over the last couple years, Nardozzi has helped the Gunners win a Disney-Chelsea Showcase Copa Championship, a Coupe de Quebec-Ontario Cup championship, an Ontario Youth Soccer League title and a Schwann V-Elite USA Cup crown.
