It's cool to be green By Jill Kwasniak SPECIAL TO THE BEAVER Earth-friendly youths from across Halton were told to congratulate themselves for their green efforts from Spencer West, a motivational speaker for Me to We at the Halton Regional Chair's Environmental Awards on Tuesday. West asked everyone to stand up and give a high-five to the person next to them. "I want to congratulate each and every one of you on this amazing accomplishment that you've done," he said. "You guys did the work. It was so inspiring to sit and listen to the amazing things you're doing in your school." West spoke about how difficult it is to be an environmentalist. "It's not always seen as the cool thing to do," he said. "It's not always seen as the normal thing to do. Because of you guys, it started to be cool. It started to be the thing that everybody wants to get involved in. That's because of all of your hard work."
