The hot, sticky weather began as a special treat over the Victoria Day long weekend and continued through the week. Thunderstorms were predicted to provide a bit of a break as more comfortable temperatures were to move in for today and the early weekend.The break is to be short-lived, however, as more hot, sultry temperatures are expected to move in Sunday and continue through early next week. Last year, temperatures did not reach the 30-degree mark until July. Only a few such days were recorded during last year's wetter- and cooler-than-usual summer.
