The Halton Regional Police Service's Drug and Morality Bureau began an investigation in March of the business known as the `Sapid Sweets Health Centre,' which advertises on its website the best oriental massage in Oakville. Soon after the investigation began, police noticed a large number of male clients frequently entering and leaving the facility after short periods of time at unusual times during the day and night. The investigation was concluded Wednesday, with the execution of a search warrant at the business where police seized massage tables and approximately $2,000 in cash. Two women, Rong Lan Lai, 35, and Yan Yang, 49, both from Scarborough, have been charged with being inmates of a common bawdy house. One man, Xiang Gui Zeng, 50, of Niagara Falls, has been charged with being the keeper of a common bawdy house. A previous police raid took place at the same location in November of 2009 against the business Vista Spa, which had the same phone number as Sapid Sweets. In that case, two Toronto women were also arrested and charged with being inmates of a common bawdy house, while a Richmond Hill man was arrested as a keeper of a common bawdy house. Police said these charges are still before the courts.
