Burton, who has lived in Ward 4 since 1989, has stated that repeated Town spending increases and threats to the Natural Heritage System threaten to spoil both the lifestyle and landscape of, what he called, one of Canada's most sought after municipalities. He said two of the last three municipal budgets have seen significant spending increases with another significant increase projected for 2011.
